Once you’ve built and published your form in Formora, the simplest way to start collecting responses is by sharing its direct link. Every published form has a unique URL that you can distribute across various channels.

What is a Shareable Form Link?

A shareable link is a unique web address (URL) that points directly to your live Formora form. When someone clicks this link, they are taken to your form and can fill it out.

  • Format: Typically, the link will look something like https://formora.site/f/your-unique-form-id or, if you have Custom Domains set up, it might be https://forms.yourbrand.com/your-form-slug.
  • Generation: This link is automatically generated by Formora when you first save or publish your form.

You can find the shareable link for your form in a few common places within the Formora interface:

  1. Within the Form Builder:

    • After you Publish your form, a “Share” button, a link icon, or the direct link itself often becomes visible in the top bar or a dedicated “Share” tab within the builder’s settings panel.
• Clicking this may reveal a modal or dropdown displaying the link and other sharing options.

  2. From the Main Forms List:

    • In your Formora dashboard, navigate to the list of all your forms.
    • For each published form, there’s usually a quick action menu (often represented by three dots ”…”) or a direct “Share” or “Copy Link” icon next to the form’s name.

  3. In the Form Settings / Share Tab:

    • When editing a form, navigate to the main “Form Settings” and look for a “Share” or “Distribute” tab. The direct link will be prominently displayed here.

Simply click to copy the link to your clipboard.

Once copied, you can use the link in numerous ways:

  • Emails: Paste it directly into email campaigns or personal emails.
  • Social Media: Share it in posts on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram bios, etc.
  • Messaging Apps: Send it via Slack, WhatsApp, SMS, or other messaging services.
  • Website Buttons/Hyperlinks: Use the link as the destination for buttons (“Contact Us,” “Register Now”) or hyperlinks on your website or blog.
    <a href="https://formora.site/f/your-form-id" target="_blank">Fill out our survey!</a>

  • QR Codes: Convert the link into a QR code for physical posters, flyers, or presentations.

Important Considerations

  • Publish First: Your form must be published for the shareable link to be active and accessible to the public. If the form is unpublished, the link will likely lead to an error page or indicate the form is unavailable.
  • Preview Links vs. Live Links: The Form Builder might offer a “Preview” link that allows you to see how your form looks without it being published. This preview link is for testing and internal viewing only and should not be used for public sharing. Always use the official shareable link obtained after publishing.
  • Link Shorteners (Optional): If your form link is very long (which is uncommon for Formora default links), you can use third-party URL shortening services like Bitly or TinyURL. However, Formora’s standard links are generally designed to be reasonably user-friendly.

Taking it Further: Custom Domains

For a more professional and branded appearance, Formora allows you to use your own custom domain for your form links (e.g., forms.yourcompany.com/feedback instead of the default Formora URL). This can enhance trust and brand recognition.
