Viewing Form Responses
Learn how to access, view, navigate, and filter the data submitted through your Formora forms in the responses dashboard.
Once your Formora form is live and collecting submissions, you’ll need to view and manage the data you receive. Formora provides a dedicated area for each form where you can see all its responses in an organized manner.
Accessing Form Responses
There are several ways to get to the responses for a specific form:
-
From Your Dashboard / Forms List:
- Navigate to your main Formora dashboard where all your forms are listed.
- Each form card or list item will typically display a count of its current submissions.
- Look for a “Responses” button, a submission count link, or an icon (e.g., Database or Table) associated with the form. Clicking this will take you directly to its responses view.

From the Form Builder:
- When you are editing or viewing a form in the Form Builder, there is often a prominent “Responses” tab or link in the builder’s navigation or top bar.
The Responses Dashboard / Table View
When you access the responses for a form, you’ll typically be presented with a data table. This table provides a comprehensive overview of all submissions received.
- Layout: Each row in the table represents a single submission, and each column generally corresponds to a field in your form.
- Common Columns:
- Submission ID: A unique identifier automatically assigned by Formora to each response.
- Submission Date & Time: The exact date and time the response was received.
- Form Fields: Columns for each of your form fields, displaying the data entered by the user for that field.
- (Potentially) Partial Submissions: If Formora saves partial entries, these might be indicated.
- (Potentially) Status: If your workflow involves marking responses (e.g., “New”, “Read”, “Archived”), a status column might be present.
- (Potentially) User Metadata: Depending on your form settings and Formora’s capabilities, you might see columns for IP address, browser/OS, or geolocation of the submitter (always ensure compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR if collecting such data).

Viewing an Individual Submission
To see all the details for a specific response:
- Click on a row in the responses table, or look for a “View” or “Details” button associated with each row.
- This will open a detailed view, often in a modal window or a separate page, displaying all the data for that single submission in a clear, readable format.
- You’ll see each field label from your form along with the corresponding answer provided by the user.
- Submission metadata (ID, timestamp, etc.) will also be visible.

Navigating, Searching, and Filtering Responses
For forms with many submissions, Formora provides tools to help you find and manage your data effectively:
Customizing the Table View (If Available)
Some platforms allow you to customize the display of the responses table:
- Show/Hide Columns: Choose which form fields (columns) are visible in the table to focus on the most relevant data.
- Reorder Columns: Drag and drop column headers to change their order.
Look for a “Columns,” “View Options,” or settings icon (Gear) near the table for these customization features.
Effectively viewing and navigating your responses is the first step in making use of the valuable data you collect. Next, learn about Managing and Modifying Response Data.
